After August 6th, 1945, the world would never be the same again. The B-29 bomber, Enola Gay, dropped the world' s first atomic bomb on a civilian target, the Japanese city of Hiroshima. An estimated 140,000 Japanesepeople lost their lives in the morning raid and some 80,000 more died in second attack on the southern city of Nagasaki three days later
