Summary DANGEROUS DANCINGWith K-Pop in South Korea and Bollywood in India, Tuesday's Dateline shows how integral music and dance are to people's lives around the world. But in Iraq, it's becoming a very different story. Religious extremists want to put an end to the 'sinful' arts and it's the talented young musicians and dancers that are in the firing line. On Tuesday's Dateline, Evan Williams finds a refuge for culture at Baghdad's Music and Ballet School... the only place of its kind in Iraq. But its staff and pupils must lead double lives to avoid being targeted and there's increasing uncertainty over the school's future. With a stark choice between moving abroad to pursue their talents or giving up on their dreams, could these ballerinas be facing their last dance?BOLLYWOOD LESSONSOne of India's biggest success stories, Bollywood, is being used to tackle one of its biggest failings, illiteracy. The country has the greatest number of illiterate people in the world, but a remarkably simple idea is gradually changing that. On Tuesday's Dateline, Amos Roberts meets Brij Kothari, who wondered if subtitling the song and dance numbers in films would teach people how to read. The results were startling, with young and old subconsciously learning their native written language. Now TV stations across the country are showing Bollywood films with subtitles. Brij reckons he could soon be reaching a billion people and has even bigger plans for the future.K-POP AUSSIEIn Queensland, he was Jason Jang... an A grade student destined for a career as a dentist. In South Korea, he's Hanbyul... lead singer with rising K-Pop music sensation Ledapple. His entire family moved from Brisbane to Seoul in search of success and now he's surrounded by adoring fans wherever he goes. But fame hasn't yet produced a fortune for the fast rising star... he's feeling the pressure of stardom and his parents aren't happy. On Tuesday's Dateline, Jeannette Francis goes on the road to follow the gruelling schedule of concerts and personal appearances that come with being a K-Pop star. K-Pop is incredibly popular. The carefully manufactured bands have caught Asia's attention with their perfect looks and catchy songs. But has the move really paid off for Hanbyul and his family? And what do they miss about life down under?
