Summary In 1993 lead waste was dumped in Demerara Road, a squatter community of some 500 persons. Some time later children from the community began turning up at hospitals with symptoms of lead poisoning and subsequently one child died. This film tells the story of the community resisting efforts to relocate them, preferring to work, in partnership with the recently established Environmental Management Authority, to decontaminate the area and get on with their lives
