Dance in video, volume 2 |
Summary |
Amos Hetz, an Israeli dancer and notator, talks about his dance and movement training, particularly with Noa Eshkol and Moshe Feldenkrais. He notes the influence of Ausdrucktanz, brought by German Jewish immigrants, on Israeli dance, and the relatively late importation of American modern dance. He describes the symbols used in the Eshkol-Wachmann system of movement notation, which he often uses in developing his own choreography, and discusses his present work as a teacher at the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance |
