Summary |
Guerilla filmmakers Douglas Bridgeman and Jamie Catto venture this time to Mali, Hawaii, Mexico, Iceland and Los Angeles to find truth and musical harmony. The theme for this episode is wounded, how hurts inflicted on us as children shape our behaviour as adults and the amazing power memories have over us. The two visionary documentary makers engage the musicians from each country they visit to collaborate using just a simple riff to build on, fed to them through a headphone. The musicians create their own distinct sounds on top of what has gone before for a moving and layered soundtrack. k.d. lang, Eddi Reader and Police drummer Stuart Copeland feature in this episode to create a haunting piece. Also features actor Tim Robbins and comedians Billy Connolly and Stephen Fry, frankly discussing their vulnerability.
