|
Summary |
On July 11-12, NATO heads of state--including the president of the alliance's newest member, Finland--will convene in Vilnius, Lithuania, where they will take steps to align and enhance their defense posture in the Arctic. The allies are expected to approve updated regional defense plans, including one for the High North and the Atlantic. In outlining specific needs for troops, capabilities, and equipment to defend against evolving Russia-China cooperation in the region, the plan presents an opportunity to create greater Arctic defense coherence and capacity |
