| Summary |
From the time he was a teenager starring in now defunct TV shows "Sweat" and "Roar, " co-stars and directors were singing the praises of Australian actor Heath Ledger, citing his maturity and undeniable charisma as reasons why he was destined for something bigger, and they were right. After a stint on Home and Away, director Gregor Jordan cast him alongside Bryan Brown and Rose Byrne in "Two Hands, " which lead to roles in "The Patriot" and the medieval comedy, "A Knight's Tale." Determined to be more than just a Hollywood heartthrob, Ledger set his sights on meatier roles in independent films, such as "Candy, " and scored a small part in "The Monster's Ball" with Halle Berry.
