Summary
The project involved a series of palaeontological investigations into the taxonomic classification of fossil echinoids from the Cenozoic Era of Australia. This included evolutionary reconstructions and aspects of palaeobiology. The palaeobiogeographical distribution of the Australian fossil echinoids revealed a changing pattern which partly explains the origin of the modern fauna
