Summary Conference papers of the Re-searching dance conference organised by World Dance Alliance. World Dance Alliance has laid immense importance on equal and simultaneous emphasis on creating a platform for discussions and debate on practice and theory of dance in its previous conferences. In keeping with its past practice the 2009 WDA event has been planned on the theme “Re-Searching Dance.” In an attempt to open up the conference to all individuals who are concerned with important areas of dance-research in the context of society, politics, pedagogy, kinetics, vocabulary, documentation, gender, history and other topics of contemporary relevance.
