Summary |
At the Moods club in Zurich in 2018, the brass band Ciocarlia will set fire to everything in their path. This 12 musician Romanian brass band combines traditional Romani music with Turkish, Romanian, Macedonian and Bulgarian rhythms - the final cocktail is explosive to say the least. Originally from a village in north-eastern Romania, the band initially specialized in wedding entertainment and quickly made a name for itself in France in 1998 with their debut album Radio Pascani. Constantly evolving and renewing itself, the Balkan Band has now built up an international reputation, from Tokyo to New York via Paris and Berlin. At this concert, we can immediately understand why they are sometimes nicknamed "the fastest fanfare in the East," their inexhaustible and contagious energy is a reflection of the fury they play with, so get ready to dance!
