"This book identifies the scope of Australian public health law and charts a course for its future evolution. In 26 chapters, written by leading scholars, this innovative collection analyses the role of law in supporting health and safety for the community. It considers the historical, constitutional and global foundations of public health law, as well as the role of consumer protection law in protecting public health. Chapters explore the intersections between public health law, rights and ethics, analysing the role of human rights law for Indigenous health equity, access to medicines, public health dimensions of mental health law, and genomics and public health law.
