Notes Rodney E. Kellems is Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. The author or coauthor of more than 60 journal articles and book chapters, he is a member of the American Chemical Society, the American Society for Cell Biology, the American Society for Microbiology, and the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, among others. He has been actively involved in gene amplification research for over 15 years. Dr. Kellems received the A.B. degree (1969) in biology from Bellarrnine College, Louisville, Kentucky, and the Ph. D. degree (1974) in biochemistry from Princeton University, New Jersey
