Radio salutes the nurses : War Nurses' Memorial Centre appeal (an educational and social centre for nurses) St Kilda Cricket Ground, Sunday 14th March 1948
This memorial is to take the form of a Centre that will provide facilities for the post-graduate training of nurses and include a library and lecture rooms, besides offices for various nursing bodies in the State. It will also include recreational facilities and sleeping quarters for nurses awaiting or recovering from hospitalisation and for nurses whose duties have taken them away from their homes
