Summary This dataset provides a practical demonstration of how an inductive analytical approach can be used to develop a conceptual model from qualitative interview data. The dataset is provided by Dr. Jacqueline Laughland-Booÿ and Professor Zlatko Skrbiš from Australian Catholic University, and Dr. Zareh Ghazarian from Monash University. It is drawn from interviews gathered from the Social Futures and Life Pathways (Our Lives) Project which is a longitudinal study of young people from Queensland, Australia. This example focuses on how the voting behaviours of young people can be identified and categorised using a process that creates a novel theoretical framework that not only identifies and describes different voting strategies within a population of young voters but also explains the similarities and distinctions between them. The dataset files are accompanied by a Teaching Guide and a Student Guide
