Melnick is Distinguished Service Professor of Virology and Epidemiology and Dean of Graduate Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. Dr. Melnick is recognized internationally as a leader in virology. He was elected to be the first Chairman of the Virology Section of the International Association of Microbiological Societies.
