Summary During the Second World War, Alistair Urquhart was captured by the Japanese in Singapore and sent to work on Burma's Death Railway. After years in a prison camp he was loaded onto a cargo ship in Singapore which was torpedoed by an American submarine. Alistair was one of the sole survivors and drifted alone for days at sea. Rescued by a Japanese whaling vessel, he was taken to Nagasaki where he bore witness to the devastation of the world's second atom bomb. This was a story so painful to tell, that he kept it a secret from his friends and family. (From the UK) (Documentary) CC
