Sustainability in California ; 4 |
Summary |
California is one of the top surf locations in the world but threats to California's coastline have presented new challenges to surfers - and they ve developed their own unique response to sustaining the coastline. The Surfrider Foundation was set up 25 years ago in California and now has almost 60,000 activists and volunteers across the United States, and 80 chapters across the world. Universal Studios is one of the oldest and biggest film studios, and on an average summer's day 30,000 visitors take tours of the studio sets and sound stages, and enjoy rides on themed attractions in the park. Alongside its mission to entertain, Universal has recently adopted a number of environmental initiatives including cleaner, greener rides, like the new Simpsons ride |
