The Australian Law Reform Commission and the Australian Capital Territory Magistrates Court set out to examine the use of closed circuit television for children who give evidence in court. This project's aim was to find out whether the use of this technology in courts reduces the harm suffered by child witnesses and improves the quality of their evidence without unfairly interfering with the rights of parties to a fair trial
