Summary |
*Coarse Language*Karen is known as the 'fake dwarf'', because she is technically not one. She does not have achondraplasia - the most common form of dwarfism. Karen just stopped growing, so she is about the size of an eight year old, in perfect proportion. At 43, she is the oldest of the group in the pantomime. She is a single mother of two daughters aged 17 and 10, neither of whom are small.Karen and Max have known each other for about 10 years, having met at various auditions, but they have been in a relationship for a few months. They are keeping things casual, choosing separate bedrooms and concentrating on just having fun.A bubbly, outgoing person, who loves to meet people, Karen enjoys her life as a 'little person' and all the varied entertainment appearances and roles that come her way. But a few weeks into the pantomime, Karen suffers a sudden terrible loss that shocks the house and brings the two closer together than ever before.PRODUCTION DETAILS:Series producer Michelle Fobler; series director Richard Curson-Smith of Garden Productions |
