| Summary |
Schapiro started as a photo-journalist for Life Magazine, covering some of the major political and social events in the United States in the 1960's. He subsequently became one of the foremost cinema stills photographers of his time, working on some of the major Hollywood films of the era, from Midnight Cowboy, The Godfather, Taxi Driver and Apocalypse Now through to Funny Girl with Barbra Streisand, to name but a few. In this retrospective of his long and varied career, with the help of Dustin Hoffmann and Jodie Foster, Schapiro shares anecdotes and prepares international exhibitions and a fine art book for Taschen, starting a new era as a distinguished artist in his own right.
