Series My Great Big Adventure ; Series 2, Episode 5
Summary ABC3's My Great Big Adventure (MGBA) is back and this time Kayne's brought along a few friends - Stephanie, Nancy and Takaya - to help him tackle some of the most pressing issues kids face today. During this season, the MGBA team delves into the following issues: girlfriends and boyfriends, school, divorce, self esteem, puberty, grief, social media, prejudice, failure and mental health. MGBA aims to help viewers understand each of these topics and empower them to deal with each issue, whether it is affecting them now or later on in life.Puberty is an experience we all have to go through: it's awkward, sweaty, pimply, hairy and totally confusing, and it's about to happen to Kayne and the MGBA gang all over again. The Puberty Patrol Unit is a team of six teenagers who are on a crazy mission - to take our MGBA presenters back to their teenage years. They've devised a series of revelatory tests and challenges, and it's no prank!Steph and Kayne go head-to-head as they weave their way through the good, the bad and the totally embarrassing moments of puberty. How will Steph cope when she starts to develop breasts? Are pimples and wet dreams normal? And why does Kayne smell like onions? As our teenage contributors can testify, puberty is much more than a physical experience: it's a time of huge emotional change and uncertainty. To prove the point, Nancy and her sneaky peeps take over Takaya's emotions using remote control technology; they tell him how to feel and how to act. It's a totally wicked social experiment designed to reveal some hilarious home truths about the secret life of teenagers. But it's Steph who has her co-hosts laughing out loud as she candidly reveals her most embarrassing coming of age moment. Who would have thought talking about your period could be so funny? It's a must watch episode for every Australian teenager.PRODUCTION DETAILS:Fred Bird Entertainment
