Summary Virologist and adventure junkie Dr Mike Leahy welcomes up-close-and-personal encounters with the world's most dangerous creatures. Whether they want to suck, bite, sting or feed on his body, he'll do whatever it takes to better understand what they're all about. In this new series Dr Mike Leahy travels the globe to show travellers what not to do with tiny creatures that pack a hefty punch. From the dense tropical rainforest to the natural wonder of the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland Australia is an idyllic travel destination. It's also home to an amazing array of beautiful yet deadly creatures. Dr Mike begins his journey in the far north by tackling some of the oceans deadliest killers including the box jellyfish. With medics on hand, he experiments with a portion of a tentacle on his arm. Not content with one deadly sea creature, Dr Mike moves on to explore the reef which is home to an assortment of 'look but don't touch' creatures including the Crown of Thorns starfish, and stone fish. Moving on to the rainforest Mike uncovers toxic plants and Jurassic like territorial cassowaries before finishing off his adventures with locals at a cane toad race.
