Summary "The oysters (Ostrea cucullata Born.) grown in the George's River, situated a few miles south of Port Jackson, have for a number of years been subject to a mortality during the winter months, and at the request of the State Fisheries, and with the approval of the Department of Education, I undertook an investigation of the mortality expected during the winter of 1924. A further request was made for a continuance of the investigation in the winter of 1925..."--Introduction.
