Summary Nottingham Race Riots: The events of August and September 1958 in Notting Hill certainly stand out. But not quite so well remembered is that there was also trouble in the midland city of Nottingham. It all seemed to begin on the 23rd of August in a pub in St. Ann's Well Road and is believed to have been sparked by outrage over interracial relationships -- black men and white women. The Lions of Tsavo: Nobody really knows why the man-eating lions of Tsavo behaved the way they did, although there are plenty of theories. Despite their appearances, these big cats were not lionesses, but male lions without manes. And some think that it was their unusually high levels of testosterone that both diminished their hair and considerably raised their levels of aggression
