Summary |
One of the darkest figures within the Nazi elite, Reinhard Heydrich pursued the construction of the Final Solution with great vigour. He was also subsequently responsible for making critics of the Reich disappear without trace, and later became 'Protector' of the occupied Czech territories of Moravia and Bohemia which he ruled with an iron fist. Heydrich came to the Allies attention early in the war and, on 27 May 1942, he was assassinated in Prague by a team of British-trained Czechs. (From the UK) (Documentary Series) M (A) |
