Documents the efforts of a group of American volunteers -- including architects, artists, teachers and psychologists -- in building and operating a primary school in a poor Tiajuana neighborhood. Their efforts are joined by other American and Mexican volunteers, including parents of the school's young students, resulting in an inspiring example of international and local volunteerism, community organization, an innovative educational program, and U.S./Mexico relations
