Summary |
Monterrey, the third most populous city in Mexico and a destination for business and medical tourism, has been experiencing a tourism slowdown since 2007 due to economic crisis and travel warnings derived from drug related incidents. Tourism stakeholders requested the city's Destination Management Organization (DMO) to develop concrete strategies and action plans to increase tourism visitation; one of the potential strategies is to develop accessible tourism to attract the market of tourists with disabilities |
