Summary |
The extant literature on Pentecostalism tends to emphasise economic growth and development in pari passu with spiritual growth. In particular, African Pentecostalism - a vibrant and flourishing genre of the Pentecostal movement, has been shown to vigorously embed prosperity in its liturgy. Its theology unites two bipolar concepts (the transcendental and the secular), which are combined to kindle entrepreneurship intention and effect rapid growth of members' entrepreneurial activities. Tensions deriving from social, institutional, and business dilemmas still occur when negotiating the sacred/secular margins through the platform of African Pentecostalism and are highlighted in this case study |
