Summary |
Healthcare in Bangladesh is a significant and rapidly growing market, where public- and private-sector institutions cater to 160 million people. Current practices in the healthcare delivery system are challenging traditional methods. As a result, many technology-based healthcare and health delivery practices are being introduced around the world. Bangladesh is performing well in its healthcare development sector in comparison to the globally established ideal healthcare delivery practices and trends. Praava, a newly established healthcare provider, is offering to revolutionize healthcare practices in Bangladesh. E-health and telehealth are relatively new in Bangladesh. Therefore, when Praava, an app-based healthcare provider, introduced this service in Bangladesh, it was not instantly adopted, regardless of its merits. In light of Roger's innovation adoption model, Bangladesh's healthcare market is an attractive market which has growth potential. Interestingly, the pandemic is assisting in quicker adoption of telehealth and app-based organizations such as Praava. Students will be asked to evaluate the sustainability and adoption of such an innovative and contemporary healthcare structure in emerging markets with or without the COVID-19 pandemic |
