There have been several attempts in the past to stocktake and analyse industrial land in Geelong. The most recent was in December, 1984 as part of the Commission's Urban and Township Development Strategy and was undertaken on a broad scale involving the entire spectrum of industrial land use zones, and included industrial areas located outside of the Geelong urban area.
