This book highlights marine pollution in the Bizerte Lagoon in Tunisia, offering insights into the distribution and source of contamination in the marine environment. It presents, for the first time, the study of the pesticides in the different compartments of the aquatic ecosystem: surface water, sediment, suspended particles and sediment cores. It provides an assessment of the quality of the lagoon environment by comparing the results found in other studies in the world and with the levels set by the Global Organization of Human Health
