Summary China is a major sporting nation, and while they have just hosted the Olympic Games, there are also traditional sports that have survived through history and particularly the iron rule of Communism. Manuel goes there to find out more about how Chinese people feel about these ancestral sports. He starts his journey in Shaolin, the famous birthplace of Kung fu. He then travels to Wuqiao, the China's acrobatics capital before spending the last leg of his journey at the Shitong village, deep in the heart of Guizhou province, to attend the annual boat race.
