This book is an account of 40 years in the life and the history of the Institute Laue-Langevin, an organization that was created by France and Germany to perform research in the vast field of neutrons. It describes the genesis of this project and shows how a good organization enabled the optimal use of the reactor. This work also portrays three well-known members who played an essential role in this success story
