Summary In the first episode of this third series Louis Theroux arrives in Las Vegas, Nevada, on the trail of a new breed of personal motivators who claim to be able to change lives through hypnosis - making people rich, happy, and successful with the opposite sex. First up, he meets 'master hypnotist', Dennis Lowry who teaches him the basics of hypnosis at his American Academy of Hypnosis, even allowing Louis to practise his newly learnt skill on his teacher. He then moves on to meet self-improvement motivator Marshall Sylver, who claims to be the world's fastest hypnotist. Louis then travels to California where he meets Ross Jeffries, a 'Speed Seduction guru' who shows him how to pick up women with winning chat up lines.
