On tonight's episode of Spectacle: Elvis Costello With... Elvis hopes to build a band by inviting Levon Helm, Nick Lowe, Richard Thompson and Allen Toussaint on stage.Singer songwriter and electric guitar player Richard Thompson, grew up listening to folk music. He reflects on the influence it had on him before performing Shoot Out The Lights. New Orleans piano player Allen Toussaint, explains why the piano is such an integral part to any band and how his home town is so important to his music. At Elvis's request, he plays his classic song Holy Cow.Elvis Costello has known bass guitarist and singer songwriter Nick Lowe for many years, as Nick has played on some of Elvis's previous albums. Nick shares the story behind writing a song for Johnny Cash, The Beast In Me. Nick performs his version of the song.Drummer Levon Helm has disregarded doctor's orders to join Elvis in the Apollo Theatre. Suffering vocal strain, he keeps his talking to a minimum, instead letting his drums talk for him.
