Summary This case provides an account of a medical case study of a patient who had arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy, a rare heart condition. The aim was to describe the condition so that other practitioners would have a better understanding of the signs, symptoms, treatment, and prognosis. Case studies describe a bounded person, event, or program. They are often used in medicine and health sciences to give a detailed description of a patient with a unique condition or a patient who reacted differently to a treatment or rehabilitation. They are a form of research that practitioners can more easily conduct that will add to the body of knowledge. This article presents a medical case study that describes a unique heart condition in a collegiate athlete, including formulating the research question, determining the data collection methods, and analyzing data and ethical issues
