Summary This documentary, produced by Chris Goddard, is on the work of Alex Torbet. In 1979 he was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder. In Saughton prison he worked in the aquaculture unit. Before long he was saving the University of Stirling thousands of pounds due to his skill in breeding fish. His greatest achievement is the creation of a golden strain of the fish Tilapia, which feeds on rubbish. It is a high protein food and is feeding many people in the third world. Torbet is due for release this year and hoped to work for the University but they have refused to employ him. The programme examines his life and work behind bars
