Summary British Columbia is attracting and promoting extensive liquefied natural gas (LNG) development, including the shale gas extraction and processing needed to produce the LNG. Greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) would be released across the LNG supply chain. The province has estimated the greenhouse gas emissions that could accompany different levels of development, but to date has not made details of that analysis publicly available
