Backsourcing refers to the process of bringing previously outsourced operations back into the company and performing those same operations in house. Backsourcing occurs when outsourcing is deemed as unsuccessful, or when a company wants to take back control of its own operations. The case explains the technical problems and challenges that occurred when a unnamed Greek government agency began to back source an IT system
