Summary |
This case focuses on sustainability in the hospitality industry, how B Corp certification fits into it, and the change management process. Legacy Vacation Resorts (LVR) is a successful, eight-location family resort chain headquartered in Orlando, Florida. Jared Meyers, LVR's Chairperson, is committed to transforming his resorts from a traditional, solely for-profit model to one that embraces a triple bottom line of "People, Planet, and Profit." Meyers decided to make LVR a Certified B Corporation (B Corp) to ensure credibility and transparency. He now faces the challenge of communicating the values and benefits of socially and environmentally sustainable B Corp practices to his employees and customers. Students will put themselves in Meyers' shoes to determine how best to plan and execute organizational change that integrates LVR's employees and guests into the new sustainable social and environmental commitment culture |
