Summary KIDS IN DETENTIONApproximately 200 kids are currently held by the Australian Government in immigration detention centres, both here and on the island of Nauru. But lately, there's been growing concern among refugee advocates and healthcare professionals about what impact this is having on the children. A group of doctors from the Royal Children's Hospital in Victoria recently announced they will now refuse to return any detainee kids sent to them for treatment. We take a closer look at why the issue of kids in detention is so contentious and meet some of the Aussie kids offering them friendship through letters.FIRE PREPARATIONSFire season has only just begun but already bushfires in Victoria and South Australia have destroyed property and forced evacuations. This season is predicted to be one of the worst for many years. So what can emergency services do to lessen the risk?
