This dataset is designed for teaching the Erdos-Renyi random-network model. The dataset is a subset of data derived from the Florentine Families dataset collected by Padgett (1994), and the example compares the diameter and the clustering coefficient of the Florentine family network with those of the corresponding Erdos-Renyi random network.
