*Coarse Language*Stomach takes a look into the life of 26-year-old Melbourne sideshow artist and sword swallower Aerial Manx, exploring how he is pushing the art form to its absolute limits.Up until now, movement whilst swallowing a sword has been considered nigh on impossible. Aerial has succeeded in becoming the only person to perform a sword swallow handstand, cart wheel, aerial walk over and back-flip. He risks his life on a daily basis to chase records and experience something no other human ever has; 'pure creation' as he puts it.In 2011 he pushed the boundaries to breaking point (literally) when a swallowed neon tube broke inside him. Following this event Aerial started to re-evaluate his need to push himself to the limits and to consider who/what is important in his life.STOMACH follows Aerial as he prepares to break the world record for the most weight hung off a swallowed sword, a record that stands at 26 kilos. His personal journey weaves through this narrative thread as we dig beneath his 'performer's facade' and get an intimate glimpse into his world and his relationship with his fiancee, Alyssa.Reflecting on the complex relationship we have with our body, mind and identity, STOMACH reveals Aerial's internal conflict between wanting to express himself as an artist and the need to adhere to the 'entertainment' formula to survive as a freelance performer.
