Summary Data collection can be one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences for new researchers, but the vast amount of data you can collect can be overwhelming, especially when multiple albeit complementary methods are employed. This dataset is provided by Hannah OMahoney from Cardiff University and concerns how you would approach the analysis of different types of qualitative data. It comprises ethnographic fieldnotes and interview transcripts collected during a four and a half month period of ethnographic immersion in a sea-turtle conservation project in Greece staffed by international volunteers. The dataset also includes the organisation of a subset of codes resulting from the analysis of the interview data. The exemplar is intended to help you to start thinking about how to create a coherent narrative out of a potentially daunting amount of diverse data. It also illustrates the way in which the codes that you apply to your data can themselves become data that require further analysis
