PhDr. Jiří Špét, CSc. (1928), a graduate of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, Prague, he studied Czech language and history. After a short period of teaching at primary and secondary schools, he took to museum work, and after several appointments he became the Deputy Director of the Central Department of Museology. In 1972-1990, Jiří Špét was a museology official of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. He was leading postgraduate courses on museology and conservation, at the Department of Museology of Masaryk University, Brno, and at the Summer School of Museology. He has be |
