Royal saltworks of Arc-et-Senans -- Mont-Saint-Michel
Summary
Two part program. The Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans was placed on the list of World Heritage Sites in 1982 because of its exceptional cultural value. Claude Nicolas Ledoux, the master of symmetry, designed the complex as a kind of ideal city. We also visit Mont-Saint-Michel and the bay surrounding it, which are located on the northwest coast of France, on the border between Normandy and Brittany. The effect of tides and sandbars down the ages has given the area a remarkable appearance
