IN FOCUS: SWAZILAND TEXTILE INDUSTRY. In the year 2000, Swaziland's textile industry was greatly boosted by a trade deal with the United States. At its peak, the industry employed 30,000 people. Swaziland was removed from the trade deal in 2015 and it caused factories to cut jobs or shut their doors. Now textile companies in Swaziland are exploring new markets to fill the trading gap. FACE TIME: MANNY CHIRICO, CEO, PVH CORPORATION. PVH Corporation is the parent company of popular brands including Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. The group distributes to more than 100 countries and sources some of its garments from six African countries.
