How pervasive is stress within the family unit? Can disturbed relationships be re-adjusted and, if so, what treatment modes are available? Answering these and other significant questions associated with family dysfunction, the contributors to this volume explore such issues as the need for developing appropriate intervention theory for children of divorce; the Brief Family Therapy model for troubled parent/child relationships; problems facing families when children are placed in foster or residential care facilities; and strategic rapid intervention for wife battering.
