Summary To mark the anniversary of the C classification, the Australian Broadcasting Authority, the Australian Children's Television Foundation and the Australian Film Finance Corporation commissioned a joint research project into 20 years of C programs. The aim of the research was to identify and document trends in the categories, styles and origin of programs classified over the 20 year period and examine how the scheduling and ratings of these programs had changed in more recent times. The research also sought to document the current production environment for children's television in Australia, focusing on how children's programs are financed
