Summary |
For the last several years, people on Reddit and 4Chan have been talking about something called "tulpas" an ancient Buddhist concept that means, essentially, imaginary friends. These people aren't Buddhists, but they've co-opted the concept and created their own tulpas, and created their own internet subculture with thousands of members. We meet Sam, one of the leaders of the tulpa movement, and KT, Sam's tulpa. And we try to figure out whether these people are crazy, or just experimenting with a new form of identity. Real Future#x9D; seeks to get up close with people and communities using new technologies to change the world |
